“Stand still and see this great thing the Lord is about to do” 1 Samuel 12:16
There have been no less than four new articles in the past several weeks on the movie, The Day The Earth Stood Still. This movie like the concept of 2012 has captured the public imagination. Sure, I saw the movie myself on New Years Day because I had the seen the original in the fifties as a youngster and it had forever affected my mindset. Movies like this along with Earth vs. Flying Saucers, War of the Worlds and Forbidden Planet convinced me of the possibility of UFOs and alien life which affected my interests and life goals for the next thirty years. I wanted to see if the remake would have a similar effect. Fortunately, I have matured a lot in the intervening years and have found the answers elsewhere that I had been searching for all of my life. I finally realized twenty years ago that the answers were not to found out in space or in UFOs or in aliens or with some cosmic savior or the Egyptians or the Mayans or at Stonehenge or Machu Pichu or in the Nazca lines or in the Lei lines in England or in astrology or in numerology or in mysticism or in spirit guides. The answer to decades of searching led me to Jesus Christ and I have been at peace ever since. He is the answer to all of my questions and is also the sin bearer for all of my lifetime of wicked ways.
Stephane Wuttunee’s article spoke of how the movie showed the alien’s “good towards humanity” but then rightly commented on how his robot wanted to level our entire civilization because we were “destructive.” That seemingly contradictory logic also bothered me. If these aliens were so good and we were so destructive does it make any sense at all to have their robot destroy us? I know the “good” alien won out over the “bad” robot, but at the end, the decision to cripple all of our electrical machines would have cost the lives of millions of people in hospitals, nursing homes, and those with pacemakers or on dialysis machines or breathing machines or a myriad of other electrical lifesaving devices not to speak of all those thousands of people in airplanes, trains and automobiles who suddenly and unexpectantly had their machines lose power. Even for these “good’ aliens, the end seemed to justify the means which of course it never does.
Steve Hammons article, , spoke of the possible affiliation of the government and Hollywood to prepare us for alien contact as well as serve as disinformation when needed. Cristian Negureanu’s article followed this same stream of logic and presupposed that various Presidents including Reagan were aware of aliens.
My own article last year, My Anonymous CIA Source: The Real Story of UFOs, UFO Digest, 6/16/08, revealed that my source in Washington who worked for the CIA for 25 years after working, I believe, for the top secret Operation Paperclip after WWII which brought Nazi scientists to America, some of whom were supposedly involved in flying saucer research, and who was in charge of security for President Kennedy’s visit to Germany in the early sixties, and was confidant to later Presidents, told me to “stay with my UFO writings about the Bible.” He then told me that “you have the truth. All else is opinion.” This statement from a man whom I trust and who served in the highest echelons.
If this is indeed true, then what Theresa J. Thurmond Morris wrote in her article , that we earthlings are a “young, inferior race” and we have to worry about the earth dying before 2012 is obviously false. I know that Theresa thinks that she is a alien and thinks that she therefore has added insight but thinking that she is an alien doesn’t make her so, especially if aliens do not really exist and are instead fallen demonic angels. Theresa may be a lot of things but she is certainly not a fallen angel.
All of these articles and movies in these turbulent times that we now live in sow the seeds of a global apocalypse. With wars and rumors of wars and nations rising up against nations ((Iraq, Afghanistan, Mumbai, Gaza, international terrorism), earthquakes (Indonesia, Pakistan), plagues (bird flu, Ebola), famine (Africa), roaring of waves (hurricanes and tsunamis), signs in the heavens (global warming. 2012), people are rightly fearful. The History Channel calls this week’s programming, Armageddon Week and speaks to global disasters and the impending end on December 21, 2012. One does not need to hear what Nostradamus had to say about this or even what the Mayans or Egyptians had to say. One needs to only look at the Holy Bible which predicted this long before all the others,
All of those disturbing events that I mentioned earlier were discussed in
Matthew 24
and in
Luke 21
two thousand years ago.
But there is more.
“The Day of the Lord will come like a thief in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense hest and the earth will be burned up” (2 Peter 3:10).
“One third of he earth will be burned up…one third of the trees will be burned up…and all the green grass will be burned up… one third of the seas will filled with blood and one third of sea creatures will die.. Then a star will fall from heaven into the sea” (Revelation 8:7-11).
This will all probably occur during the great Tribulation and will affect those left behind in the Rapture when Jesus Christ will come and catch away all believers and protect them from this coming Tribulation.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God and we shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
This will explained to those left behind as an abduction by UFOs. This is my connection between the Bible, prophecy and UFOs.
But remember, all one needs to do is to:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5).
Remember that
“God is my salvation. I will trust and not be afraid, for the Lord is my strength” (Isaiah 12:2).
“God has not given us a spirit of fear but on of peace and love” (2 Thessalonians 1:7).
Thus we need not fear events around us or the coming apocalypse or 2012 because if we believe in the Lord He will protect us.
But after seven years of hell on earth (Daniel 9:27), the Lord will return coming on the clouds of heaven (Matthew 26:64) and it will be The Day Everyone on Earth Will Stand Still and watch. It will not be a UFO or an alien that they will see but the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (1 Timothy 6:15).
“The Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels in flaming fire dealing out retribution to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. And these will pay the penalty of eternal destruction away from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His power” (2 Thessalonians 1:7-9).
“Enoch prophesized that the Lord will come with many thousands of His holy ones to execute judgment upon all and to convict the ungodly of all the ungodly deeds which they have done and all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him “ (Jude 14-15).
“And I saw heaven opened and I beheld a white horse and He who sat upon it is called Faithful and True and in Righteousness. He judges and wages war (battle of Armageddon against Satan, Revelation 16:16). His eyes are a flame of fire… He will then rule the earth with a rod of iron” (Revelation 19:11-18) for 1000 years (Revelation 20:6).
“Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord’ (Philippians 2:9-11).
He will be coming this time not as a forgiving sacrificial lamb but as the Lion of Judah (Revelation 5:5) come to judge the world. All will stand still and await their fate. This will be the event when everyone on earth will stand still and face his Maker and Judge.
Dr. Stephen M. Yulish went to be with the Lord on November 19, 2012 due to M.S. complications. Stephen Yulish had a BA in Human Evolution and a MA and a PHD in History. He was a Professor at the University of Arizona and later a Jewish community professional. In spite of all of this, he accepted Jesus Christ in 1988 after a series of revelatory visions and a dream. Despite his MS he still served the Lord everyday through his writings before he passed away.
