Almost three years ago, Alan Greenspan’s memoirs, titled “The Age of Turbulence: Adventures In A New World”, debuted with plenty of media fanfare. Greenspan hit the interview circuit with a passion, appearing on financial networks, major talk shows and news magazines.  It was oddly like the hoopla that networks display when the cast of a formerly beloved television show reunite- our old pal Alan was back without missing a beat.

Economic cycles are nothing new, nor is the manipulation of those cycles new. It's just more pronounced. But, having said that, one should draw a deep breath, realize where we are and remember the words in Ecclesiastes. To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. God is still in control as long as you, the believer, are still here. That's not to say that evil will not be evil- it is to say that God's promise is that He will turn it for your good. Stand on that.

Here is a sampling of some of my thoughts and beliefs that I have posted over the last two days- I hope that they are an encouragement to you as I believe that God wants to encourage you.  I got some heat for some of these statements but I will stand by them. I do not put my finger in the wind to decide how other people believe and see what is most popular.

Despite the fact that the United States has been sabotaged and hijacked by the corrupt ogres that fill our hallowed halls of power, the greater problem is the propaganda that has effectively seeped inside the brains of ill informed citizenry. They have been able to convince the 'average' person that capitalism is to blame for our bankrupt society.

It is highly likely that we will not be able to completely separate the sheep from the goats or the heroes from the villians on this Earth due to the massive amounts of misinformation that are, in part, perpetrated by the Media. There have been many, however, who have come forward in their attempts to defend their fellow man from the corruption that infects those in power.

Eloquent writing can be very effective when trying to convince someone of your beliefs. However, in terms of something so mind bending as the talk of a global conspiracy, the more proof that comes from statements made by those 'in the know'  should raise the most eyebrows.

Why is economics so important? Control of the money is necessary to control the people. Consider this- the mark of the beast, at some future date (and possibly sooner than later) will be taken by many who feel powerless due to their dependence on money and credit.

In the early 70’s, President Nixon shut down the gold window and this ensured the eventual demise of the currency.

The simple definition of inflation is an increase in the price you pay or the decrease in the purchasing power of money. In the United States, inflation is measured by the Bureau of Labor Statistics using the CPI or Consumer Price Index.
