When we sit down at the Thanksgiving table this week I am quite certain there at least a few feelings that swoop up and tug at our conscience. However we intend to celebrate this ceremonial coming together of family and friends, there is the distinct possibility that something may be missing from the table. It could be the representation of the gift of thanks from our last Thanksgiving.

It's simple to thank God when He does miracles and answers prayers just the way we want them answered. It's also pretty easy to thank Him when we can look around and see many blessings in our lives. When our situation seems awful, though, and we're struggling through tragedy or just plain hard times, it can seem hard to believe that God is really there taking care of things; it can be hard to say, "I know You love me. Thank you for what You are doing even now."

That first Thanksgiving in the fall of 1621 saw about 50 Mayflower Pilgrims and 100 native Indians come together for a celebration feast consisting of a variety of homegrown vegetables--including corn, squash, beans, barley, and peas--along with wild turkey and venison. The precise date is not known, but it is believed to have taken place in late October or early November. Historians record that the Massachusetts weather was crisp, but not cold--and the fall foliage dazzled America's newcomers with a cornucopia of color.

I know that I need not wallow in the mud of my past and that Christ has forgiven me of all these transgressions and remembers them not but let me wallow a minute to show you the ultimate grace and forgiveness of our Lord. In my earlier article, Forever Grateful, I showed you how “I did not choose God but that He chose me” (John 15:6) but that is too simplistic. Here is the rest of the story. The ultimate miracle gets even better.

I’m working on a new book and it’s about 2012. As of this post there about 150 or so books on 2012, so by the time mine comes out the numbers may reach over 200! I think mine will be different though in that I believe 2012 is, as the title above suggests, a staged event. This begs the question, who is staging the event?

Life decisions are often made when we feel that we are at a crossroads where the decision to turn to the left or to the right seems as clear for us to make as it is to breathe. Yet what about those times when the decision is not quite as clear where the variables that we are weighing are as cloudy and murky as a morning fog?

As most of my faithful readers know, USNORTHCOM is a combatant command "created to respond to national emergencies in North America." Readers should also be aware that the US and Canada signed an agreement earlier this year allowing the armed forces from one country to assist the armed forces of the other country during a "domestic civil emergency, EVEN ONE THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE A CROSS-BORDER CRISIS." As a child, Drew was intelligent and happy and actively involved in his church.  After two years of sexual abuse, though, Drew began a series of self destuctive decisions that would nearly destroy him.  His high school and young adult years were filled with drugs and alcohol, and after he married, he cheated repeatedly on his wife, Sarah.

Last year, independent, nontraditional, religious scholar, Patrick Cooke, did a series of articles on The Bible and the Paranormal. Patrick is a earnest researcher but I believed that he misled the readers by designating all paranormal activities in the Bible as inherently positive and without any negative consequences.

Our national leaders (from both parties) seem to be shortsighted opportunists, possessing little regard for their oaths to the US Constitution, the principles of decency, or even plain, old-fashioned common sense. Both major parties in Washington, D.C., offer the American people varying degrees of socialism. Neither party demonstrates even tacit devotion to constitutional government.

Forgiveness is a tough subject. We all have very personal stories to tell of times we've been injured by our fellow human beings, and sometimes the cuts are so deep, we can't imagine how we could ever stop feeling the pain of them. Yet, our relationship with God depends not only on His abundant, gracious forgiveness of us, but also on our willingness to forgive others. As hard as it can sometimes be, we are freed on a variety of levels when we practice forgiveness.

I want to take some time and discuss the Nephilim, because I have a feeling that some of you who visit this site may not know what they are and how they tie into the so-called abduction phenomena. Briefly put, the Nephilim are the offspring of fallen angels and the women of earth. This was the first incursion – when the fallen angels manifested on the earth – and is mentioned in Genesis 6.

The book is entitled The Lennon Prophecy: A New Examination of the Death Clues of The Beatles and was written by Joseph Niezgoda and was published by New Chapter Press in 2008. In this book, the author alleges that Lennon was obsessed with the occult, mysticism, magic, numerology, sorcery, anagrams and backward masking techniques. Lennon it is also alleged apparently confided to his friend, Tony Sheridan, that he had made such a pact with the devil.

Writing for World Net Daily, Dr. Jerome Corsi states, "A former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher says the real purpose of the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen on Dec. 7-18 is to use global warming hype as a pretext to lay the foundation for a one-world government."

V aired Tuesday night and my mailbox has been filled to overflowing from people wanting to get my take on it. Most of us would love to know God more fully.  Yet, there's a huge difference between simply knowing that we possess God's Life in our hearts and actually experiencing it in our lives. The key to being able to do this, moment by moment, is understanding how to surrender ourselves to the Lord. These are the actual steps that the priests took in Solomon's Temple in order to deal with their sin and be reconciled to God. And, they are the same steps we must take each time we quench God's Spirit.

Twenty-five years ago I stood there on the first floor of a large apartment building on the west side of Detroit with its lobby filled with peeling and crumpling walls and a literal shooting gallery of addicts in various stages of wakefulness. As a community tenant organizer, I had received a call for help. The man who opened the door just after peering through the drapes nervously shepherded me hurriedly into the building.

I first met Jim at a Baptist Church Christmas Party about 13 years ago. I did not recognize his face but when I heard his name, I immediately recognized it as would most of you. Before I found the truth, I had been a dyed-in-the-wool liberal Democrat and he was the enemy a conservative Republican. Just ask my sons who still have not figured out their father's change from a Liberal Democrat Jew to a conservative, Republican Christian.
