As we said last time during the earthly ministry of Jesus He never gave any details concerning the resurrection and the rapture. In fact, if one were to do nothing but study the teachings of Jesus you could assume that there would be a general resurrection of the just and the unjust. It is only when you come over to the teaching of the Apostle Paul that you begin to understand some things concerning the order and timing of the resurrections.

We have no higher calling than to be the personal representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Savior of the world. Yet, therein lies a peculiar jeopardy. We are all human, and we all make mistakes and do foolish things and fall. We all, therefore, have the ability to make God look bad.

I was taught over 30 years ago that Satan and one third of the angels that rebelled with him were kicked out of Heaven because of their insurrection. This occurred thousands of years ago and the Devil and his horde of ner-do-wells having been living and wreaking havoc on planet earth ever since. But is this what Scripture teaches?

Interest in Bible prophecy seems to come in cycles. There is great interest now. Interestingly, even the secular world is picking up on the idea that something is happening. Jesus understood this well when his disciples asked him to teach them how to pray; he told them, "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name." -Matt 6:9

We have come to the 6th chapter of Revelation. We looked at the “Four Horsemen of The Apocalypse.” We have considered the implications of what these four horses represent for the people of this earth for the not too distant future, for those who miss the catching away and are consequently left behind to face the horrors of the Great tribulation. The Bible is still the world's best selling book. Not only is it the holy book of Christians and Jews (at least in part, the first 39 books of the Bible are comprised of the Hebrew Scriptures), but its influence has shaped Western civilization. Shakespeare, Milton, Faulkner, Melville, Steinbeck and many other writers include allusions to the Bible in their works. All American students, whether Christians or Hindus or atheists, should have a working knowledge of the Bible if only to better their understand American culture.

This horrifying specter became the inspiration for the main character of Azazel in both of my novels, The Great Harpazo Deception and Invasion: Israel, but I have rarely before explained how I obtained this image of what I now believe to be a fallen, demonic Watcher angel masquerading as an extraterrestrial. It might just give us an additional insight into the nature of this Watcher angel described in Daniel 4:13, 17, and 23. Mandatory reading of the Bible in public schools was banned as a result of the 1963 Supreme Court decision Abington Township v. Schempp. The Bible still makes its way into public schools, however, in at least two ways. The first, of course, is that students have the liberty to bring their Bibles to school and read them during free time. A second way the Bible enters public schools is in the form of classes that teach the Bible in a non-sectarian manner - as history or literature, for instance.

For all intents and purposes, the modern American Church is pathetically impotent! Not only has the American Church failed to influence the nation to any significant degree, it has proven itself to be ineffective in influencing its own membership!

The Kentucky state legislature is out to provide a curriculum for public high school Bible courses.  Many teachers and students in Kentucky are all for the bill, agreeing that it serves a useful purpose in the classroom. Others, of course, want to know what public schools are doing teaching the Bible. Still others distrust the way that the curriculum will treat the Bible.

That scenario would not be hard to sell because I believe that the skies at that time indeed will be covered by UFOs. Whenever I tell my wife that God told me something, she keeps me humble by reminding me that God once spoke through Balaam’s ass. Boy, that always keeps me on track. I am reminded that God often speaks through the most surprising people.

We have come to the actual opening of the seven seals, which we first saw in chapter 5 on the scroll that was sitting on the hand of God the Father as He sat upon His Throne. In these seven seals we see the beginning of God's judgment being poured out on the earth. The opening of the seven seals signify the beginning of the Great Tribulation [Matt. 24:21]; The Time of Jacob's Trouble [Jer. 30:7]; and Daniel's 70th week [Dan. 9:27]. These seven seals include all of the judgments to the end.

Here is one of the most loved epistles in the entire New Testament. I John has been called the sanctum sanctorum of the New Testament, and is a climax after the other two. It is really more of a sermon than a personal letter. It develops, in detail, the themes of love and truth introduced in II John. It takes the child of God into the fellowship of the Father's home.
