The Bible is not alone. Around the world, legends can be found of a global flood. Many of the details are different, but the essential elements tend to be there; a massive flood wiped out everybody but a particular righteous man. Often boats and animals are involved. The use of animals and birds to check the receding of the waters, and the violence of the flood are common themes.

As we continue with our study in the book of Revelation, we come to the 11th chapter. The fourteen verses continue the fourth and longest parenthetical section of the book. This section of course began in the 10th chapter. There we saw an unusual angel, whom we identified as Christ Himself.

The Rapture to Heaven doctrine has probably been the most debated issue in the bible lo these past 20 to 30 years.  Not a single second goes by where the debate does not continue to rage in homes, churches and more so now on the Internet. Everyone has an opinion. Everyone has their specific take on the Rapture ranging anywhere from a Pre, Mid to Post Tribulation position, as well as the ever increasing Pre-Wrath point of view.

In speeches all over America, I have surprised many Christian people when I say, I would rather vote for an unbeliever who would preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution, than vote for a believer who would NOT preserve, protect, and defend the US Constitution.

An original diatribe against the Jews written by Adolph Hitler himself is due to be unveiled at New York's Simon Wiesenthal Center in July. The Gemlich letter, named for the man to whom it was sent in 1919, is considered Hitler's first known anti-Semitic writing. The document's revelation comes at a time when anti-Semitism is once again sliding through Europe, hissing in ways that are hardly harmless.

Mary, however, did not remain a virgin nor did she die a virgin after conceiving Jesus, the Son of God, as the Catholic Church inaccurately maintains. Pope John Paul II continued this error in a statement as recent as 1996 stating that Jesus had no brothers or sisters and that Mary died a virgin.

Hollywood and the motion picture industry sucker punches us all the time. We are told that a new movie, or series of movies, is “Christian” and promotes family values. While this may be true of the original story we must always keep in mind that the actors who star in the films are just that; they are just actors. They are playing a role. And Hollywood is certainly not a Christian culture or industry.

The White House is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to go to the bargaining table with Israel's enemies, as they are, to keep the UN from declaring a Palestinian state in the fall. And yes, Obama still wants Netanyahu to agree to use the 1967 borders as a starting point.

For the record a word to any Catholics who might take offense at this post. I love the Mary of the Bible, as she was the mother of our Lord. However, I don’t believe that the Fatima apparitions, the recent appearances over the Coptic church in Egypt, or this South African video is the Mary of the Bible. In my opinion we are looking at a harbinger of deception, a cleverly devised ruse that has one goal and that is to lead people away from Yashua/Jesus.

As I have stated in several previous articles, I wrote a spec treatment for the X-Files TV Show in 1995 entitled The Catching Away. This was the first presentation of my premise that the sudden catching away (Rapture) of Christians would be explained as an abduction by UFOs. I had been greatly influenced by military aviation historian Trevor James Constable’s statement that the battle with UFOs was not for the planet of man but for the soul of man.

Jack Kevorkian famously helped folks kill themselves. He set up the suicides of at least 130 people and was finally sent to jail when he administered the lethal dose for two individuals too weak to do it themselves. Kevorkian served 8 years of his 10-25 sentence and was released in 2007.

Last weekend, we had people visit us here in the Flathead Valley of Montana from at least eight states: Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. And since my family and I moved here last October, people have moved here from at least a dozen states. And many more are in the process of moving or trying to move.

When researching the Word, one must take into account several things regarding the word or phrase or topic under scrutiny. The word 'nephilim' was translated in the KJV as 'giants', because, I assume, they did not know what the word meant. Hence everyone thinks that the Nephilim are the hybrid offspring of spirits and humans which were giants.

If you will recall last time, we are examining Revelation 10 which is the fourth parenthetical section of the book, presenting us with an interval in the main events; yet filling in much important information. Again, this is the longest parenthetical section, covering all the way from 10:1 – 11:14. The opening events of this interval preparing for the final trumpet blast highlight five unusual occurrences: An unusual angel, an unusual act, an unusual answer,an unusual announcement, and an unusual assignment.

In 1988, I saw the burning bush and found out what I had been searching for. I knew the truth. I had my on the road to Damascus experience.  I knew that I knew that I knew. Jesus Christ was my Lord and Savior. My extensive sins were forgiven.

This time we come to the fourth parenthetical section of the book of Revelation. It covers all the way from 10:1 – 11:14. It explains certain events which are not the contents of the seals, trumpets, or vials (bowls), but which happen in conjunction with the main events of this period. This particular parenthesis is inserted between the sixth and seventh trumpets, as the first parenthetical passage is inserted between the sixth and seventh seals [7:1 – 17].

Yesterday I ran into the former pastor of the church that we were kicked out of. I hand’t seen him in 21 years. I was glad to see him and shook his hand and asked him what he was doing. He in turn told me that he had googled my name and saw that I was writing books.

Pre-Tribulation Rapture to Heaven proponents have been promoting a doctrinal precept that the Church of God is to be seen as the Bride of the Lamb, a phrase that is mentioned in several verses in the book of Revelation. One of the main reasons they promote this non-scripture-based idea is to place the Church of God up in heaven (supposedly because it was caught up there seven years before the beginning of the so-called "Great Tribulation") and can now be seen returning with the Lord at His 2nd Advent.
