We have to understand that when, not if, the revealing happens it is going to be a shock to many people. There are those who will embrace the change. There are those who will be terrified by it. Still there are Christians, some of whom have read this Blog and the works of others of like mind, who will call this revealing for what it is, the Great Deception.

The peace-process in Israel is on volatile ground as usual. A troubled peace-process is one of those things we can count on, like the daily rotation of the earth and the high fat content of doughnuts. The moratorium on settlement-building ended Sunday, and settler West Bank construction resumed, causing a bit of consternation. The Palestinians have threatened to abandon the talks if construction isn't put to a halt once again. But that's not all.

Ever since God called Abram out of Ur, God's people have always possessed a "Pilgrim Spirit." Think of it: Abram was called by God to leave the only country and home he had ever known, his family and friends, and his culture and way of life. To make matters worse, he did not even know where he was going. And, of course, Abraham is known as the "Father of the Faithful." Virtually all of God's children since Abraham have possessed an innate pilgrim spirit.

I want to remind you of our two foundational scriptures that we have been referencing over the course of this series. I refer to Jude 3 and 1 Timothy 4:1. In the case of Jude believers are admonished to, contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints. [Jude 3 NKJV] Earnestly contend is from a Greek word that indicates an intense struggle to the point of agony. How many believers do you know that committed to the defense of truth from error and false doctrine?

I posted a video yesterday and I highly recommend watching it. Here’s what amazes me. This video shows several former air force personal, who are breaking their security oaths by going on the record stating that UFOs exist. So who cares? Practically no one. It’s business as usual. Most people remain willfully ignorant or are to caught up in surviving “the supposed economic recovery!”

This was amazing. I decided in 1994 to contact my former friends and colleagues at the Phoenix Jewish News and give them my testimony after 10 years. I did not know if they would ignore me or laugh at me or throw me out. I called the publisher Flo Eckstein and told her my story and said that it would make a good story. She remembered me fondly and set up an interview. I drove down to Phoenix (when I could still drive) with my last wife of four years, Paula. That is what Jews call chutzpa, nerve.

A massive UFO “revealing” is the latest prediction from former NORAD Official, Stanley Fulham. You may recall that we had a similar prediction by Blossom Goodchild, in 2008. Goodchild informed the world through YOUTUBE, that a large craft was going to materialize over Alabama.  I BLOGGED about this saying that the source of Goddchild’s prediction was through channeling.

The fine structure constant, α, has changed over time and space according to a study led by John Webb of Australian University of New South Wales. Webb’s team has been studying the light from distant quasars for over a decade, using the Keck telescope in Mauna Kea, Hawaii. The team had determined previously that α was the slightest bit smaller in the distant past. Now, after having analyzed new data from the Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile, Webb’s team concludes that the change in α is affected by its position in space, and therefore α is not a constant throughout the universe after all.

The Great Deception is coming. Bet on it. I’ don’t know when it will hit like a firestorm, but when it does it will cause the great falling away, the apostasia - apostasy – that we are warned will come in the last days. Over the weekend the astronomer to the Pope announced that, he would love to baptize ET.

Only the most willingly ignorant people (most of whom are educated beyond their intelligence, as my dad used to say) would argue with the fact that the generation who founded this great country believed that God had providentially established and protected what became known as the United States of America. The public sentiments in this regard are irrefutable.

When I originally began this current series, I had intended to start an in-depth teaching through the book of Revelation. Through the urging of the Holy Spirit however, I had to change direction. It would seem that Jude was in a similar position when he set out to write his epistle. Based on the language contained in his introduction it would appear he had originally set out to write an epistle much like Romans. Through the compelling of the Spirit he instead wrote an in-depth expose of the false doctrines beginning to infiltrate the church of his day.

The Feast of Tabernacles, or Succoth, begins on the 15th of Tishri and lasts for eight days. This year Succoth will begin at sunset on Wednesday, September 22. The word Succoth (also spelled Sukkot) means "booths", and refers to the temporary dwellings that are built and inhabited during the festival. The Feast of Tabernacles, or the Feast of Booths as it is sometimes called, is a joyous holiday and a time of feasting and commemorates the 40 years that the nation of Israel wandered in the wilderness before entering the Promised Land.

As many of you know, I took a few days off at the end of August over the Labor day weekend. Peggy and I didn’t go anywhere special. We just hung around at the house and ate a lot of good BBQ! Nothing better. We also ate great quantities of BACON, which I refer to as Man-Candy! In the middle of this so-called vacation the History Channel called and wanted to film me for this season's, Ancient Alien program.

Regan Lee's 2007 article "Speculation on Mary as a Trickster" was most fascinating. I would tend to agree with her that many if not all of the apparitions of Mary whether they are on a barn or on a tortilla or in the skies above Lourdes, are examples of tricksters, or what I would call demonic manifestations. No wonder that many of these apparitions are associated with UFO phenomena which I also believe to be demonic manifestations of fallen angels sent here to deceive people.

His word is faithful and true and when it goes deep into the center of our beings we can become cut-to-the-quick when we entertain a thought that is against the knowledge of God. In short we can take every thought captive, but it takes practice.

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is perhaps the most important holiday of the Jewish year. Yom Kippur is observed on the 10th of Tishri, which this year starts at sunset on Friday, September 17 as the new day begins on the Jewish calendar.  All day on Friday, Jews will take off work and fast for this holy and most solemn day of repentance and reconciliation.

By now, readers of this column should be aware of the decision my family and I made to leave the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, and move to the majestic Rocky Mountains: the Flathead Valley of Montana, to be specific. Mind you, Pensacola, Florida, has been my wife's and my home for 35 years. It is the place where each of our children was born and raised, and still resides today. Rest assured, each of my family is aware of the cold weather climate to which we are headed.

Last time we began to share on what I refer to as the last of the Last Days assault on the faith. Remember that we said that the faith refers to the established body of revealed truth that constitutes what every Christian believes. What we believe, our core essential doctrines, is what distinguishes Christianity from every other belief system. I fully realize that within the Christian Church there are various denominational and non-denominational groups, and each of them have certain distinct doctrinal viewpoints. Sincere Christians can differ on non-essential issues, but we still are united by core doctrines.

I’m not a bean counter, but thankfully others are! Here are some interesting statistics that breakdown who believes in what, on this planet. There’s a reason that I’m Blogging about this today.  It started with a phone conversation with author Jim Wihlemsen.  Jim is a fellow watchman and so as we were conversing I happened to state, I wonder how many people really believe that we are in the last days?

The Summer of 2010 may be remembered by historians for a number of significant events: the threats and counter-threats over Iran’s nuclear program, health care “reform”, bailouts, and the public meltdown of Lindsay Lohan (just kidding).  For American Christians, though, the big events have been a pair of rallies in the shadow of the world’s largest obelisk and this weekend’s return of the self-proclaimed Steve Jobs of the Christian Coalition.

I am not a novice to the field of UFOs and the paranormal. I have been involved in it for half a century. I do not believe that people who see UFOs are crazy or hallucinating. I do not believe that all abduction accounts are examples of sleep paralysis. I agree with you that something definitely is out there. I too once sought truth in the paranormal, Gnostic world. As I have stated many times before, my explanation for these phenomena changed radically after I had a personal revelation of Jesus Christ in a series of visions and dreams.

A man who has pressed through the darkness, suffered and struggled in grief and blindness, rejoices to the core of his being when he catches glimpses of the sun.  One of the first things he wants to do is call to his loved ones, "Come over here! The sky is real!  Come quickly and see!"  For those of us who know Jesus Christ as our hero and King, our brother and Savior, the aching desire in our hearts is to show him to the rest of the world, to all those others struggling through the darkness.

This week Jewish communities throughout the world will celebrate Rosh Hashanah. Rosh Hashanah literally means "head of the year" and commemorates the anniversary of the creation of the world. It is celebrated on the first day of the month of Tishri, which this year starts at sundown on Wednesday, September 8th and ends at nightfall on September 9th.

My column last week announcing my family's and my decision to leave Pensacola, Florida, and move to Montana must have hit a nerve--and that's putting it mildly. Between my son, Tim, and I, we have received hundreds (no hyperbole) of emails. In fact, we have received hundreds of emails just from people who live in Montana. Altogether, the response has been overwhelmingly positive and congratulatory. But in truth, the reaction was much deeper than that.

I want to begin a series through the book of Revelation very soon. However, prior to beginning that I must bring a teaching that the Holy Spirit has laid on my heart of late. In view of this, I am reminded of the words of Jude, Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

December 25 is approaching and we all know that it will be Christmas time. We should all remember that this is the day we celebrate as the birth of the Savior, Christ the Lord. We all need to remember that it is ultimately not about getting presents or about Santa Claus or Christmas trees or snowmen or reindeer or jingle bells. Jesus is the reason for the season and His free gifts of forgiveness of our sins and of eternal life are the greatest presents we could ever hope to obtain demonstrating God’s love for all of us in spite of our misdeeds and unbelief.

If we did not have enough reasons for dreading Sharia law, Iran has given us another one; dog ownership is out. Iran banned all advertisements for pets on Friday, including ads for pet food, pet shops, and other pet products. Why? Because Iranian dog owners care entirely too much about Fido, and that infatuation could lead to "evil outcomes" of some mysterious nature, besides the fact that dogs are unclean animals in Islam.

Most of us are convinced we already "walk by faith." We teach these principles to others and we encourage our families and our friends to do likewise. But, if we are really honest with ourselves, we'd have to admit that most of the time, we don't walk by faith, but by what we see, think, feel and want to do. Unfortunately, these natural components of our makeup (seeing, thinking, and feeling) determine most aspects of our lives, even as believers.

Last Sunday, August 29, 2010, was the hardest day of my life. Even when my father made me promise that I would preach his funeral (which I did--twice: once in Indiana where he lived, and again in Florida where I live and where he is buried), that was not as difficult and gut wrenching as what I had to do last Sunday. Last Sunday, I retired as the pastor of the church that my wife and I founded 35 years ago: the Crossroad Baptist Church of Pensacola, Florida.

Some look at the writings of the Apostle John and assume that since he wrote, Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, that he meant that the antichrist rather than being an actual individual who would come is in reality a spirit that through the years has denied the deity of Christ. However, it is important to note that even in John’s writings he distinguished the spirit of the antichrist from the person of the Antichrist.
