Here in the west we live in world that does not embrace the supernatural.  Yet, all throughout our Bible we see one story after another that shows us, and sometimes graphically, that the supernatural exists and is very real.  Moses parting the Red Sea, striking the rock where water gushed out,  Abraham and Sarah having a child in their nineties, Jesus walking on water, healing the sick, raising the dead, opening the eyes of the blind.  The Prophets that told the future  with great specificity, sometimes hundreds of years before the events that they foretold happened.  The sun standing still in the sky, rain not falling, the dead being brought back to life and on and on it goes.

I think that most churches are afraid of the supernatural aspects of the Bible.  We have a tendency to have our services as sterile as possible with every minute accounted for, and we leave very little room for the Spirit of the Living God to interact.  The early church was indwelt by the spirit of the living God.  They travelled in what we would call the supernatural as people were healed and miracles occurred.  This begs the question, if we have the same spirit of the living God in us, aren’t we capable of doing the same miracles that we see in the book of Acts?  My answer to this is a resounding yes!  We must learn to put on the armor of God, daily, to walk in the spirit, to pray without ceasing, to be ready to give an answer in season and out of season!  We must know the prophecies that tell us of the time we are living in.  We must destroy the works of the evil one, we must learn to be still and know the voice of our savior and master, Yashua/Jesus!

In closing todays post: The supernatural is manifesting all around us.  UFOs are seen in greater numbers, demon possession, wicca, vampires, and “abductions” are becoming more common.  We are told that at some point in time Michael fights with the devil and his angels and Michael wins.  Then, the evil one, the dragon, Satan, is thrown to earth.  The scriptures tell us plainly that when that happens, woe to the inhabitants of earth because the evil one has come down to you and he knows his time is short!  At some point, some generation in the future – and I believe it’s ours – will see this.  This is why it’s important now to learn how to fight and destroy the works of the devil.  The Rider on the White Horse is coming and I believe it is sooner than we think.  When he arrives He will destroy the works of the evil one and this system that has enslaved mankind for thousands of years will finally be abolished!

The supernatural is real and we do well to learn how to walk in the spirit….
