They often look at me askance. Well, this morning was a perfect example. The Lord reminded me of a statement that an Orthodox Rabbi said to me years ago. He was a member of Aish Hatorah in Jerusalem, an organization that tries to bring Jews back to their roots so to speak. I had told him that while I now believed that Jesus (Yeshua) was the Messiah and was God, I still considered myself a Jew. He disagreed and we argued back and forth for weeks as all Jews love to do. The regular physician was out of town, and the substitute gave little Fanny's parents a faulty treatment that blinded the child within days. She was blind for the rest of her life. That first tragedy was followed by others. Her father died when Fanny was just a year old, and her mother had to hire herself out as a maid to provide for the family. Fanny was able to attend a school for blind children and afterwards taught there, but when she was 29 a cholera epidemic killed more than half of the children in the school. A few weeks ago an earthquake struck the island of Haiti and that death toll exceeds 200,000. Even though I have never actually seen an UFO, they have always fascinated me and I likewise have always felt that they were real and would reveal to us something very important about ourselves and our destiny. These phenomena can be historically deconstructed into two broad explanatory groups. One says that the phenomena is not real and is only a figment of the viewer's imagination or hallucinations or worse his lurid capitalist desire to generate money by writing books or doing movies etc. The other group says that the sightings are real but are being covered up by the government to prevent panic yet provide new technology to the military industrial establishment.
